Managment and Economics

The two go together good management means good economics. A stitch in time saves nine, particularly on a boat, maybe a whole sail!!
Boats live in an extraordinary hostile environment, ultra violet and salt. Lack of regular maintenance and cleaning can reduce the value of your vessel (asset) considerably.
Sheldrake offers management services at several different levels, and different rates varying from hourly- daily and monthly.

Visiting yachts

based on a flat fee for management, no commissions charges either up front or hidden. Hourly rates are 40€ an hour

Resident yachts
Management simple (400€ a month vessels under 60'))Service provided will include the general up keep of the vessel whilst in Mallorcan waters. This will involve an on going basic maintenance system that includes
Wash down every second week (4 hours)
Stainless steel polishing once a month (3 hours)
Bilge pump check every week (1hour)

Engine, AC run for one hour each second week, oil and fluid check engine/generator (1 hour)
A copy of Sheldrake’s Excel maintenance program updated on a monthly basis

Other maintenance including treatment to teak decks, fibreglass polishing are additional to the basic monthly fee, at a rate of 40 € an hour. Interior detailing and servicing of Laundry etc is billed at 20€ per hour or an agreed fixed price. All contractors used will bill client direct, with no percentages added on by Sheldrake. Sheldrake’s time will be agreed and billed accordingly, but generally at the rate of 40€ an hour. Delivery rates offshore are €400 a day, inshore €300. However all rates are negotiatable.

Full management both resident and non resident yachts

Organisation of full management of yacht service provided includes all maintenance procedures undertaken.
Organisation of cleaning interior and exterior
General maintenance of all systems, or organisation of specialist firms to do maintenance: electrical system, navigation system, blackwater systems, fresh water systems, greywater systems, safety equipment, engine and propulsion systems, generator system, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, gas supply
A copy of Sheldrake’s Excel maintenance program updated on a regular basis
Vessel moved and delivered as necessary
Yard periods organised and undertaken
All ships papers maintained and audited

All rates if in EEC waters are subject to 18% IVA, invoices payable on receipt
